Flare

The horizontal streak an anamorphic lens throws across the frame from a bright point – a headlight, the sun in a window, a candle. One or two streaks are usually enough to make a night scene feel cinematic.

Anamorphic sets the strength. Streak Threshold sets how bright a point must be to flare, and Streak Length how far the streak reaches. Flare Color runs from amber through white to blue, the classic. Streak Rotation tilts it up to vertical, and on HDR photos Streak HDR Amount lets real lights streak harder.

Flare Sources decides where it looks for lights. Auto searches the whole frame; Mask lets you paint the area, so only the lights inside it can streak.
